Our accessibility Statement

Little Oaks Showjumps are committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone.

Whilst Little Oaks Showjumps strive to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.

If you have any comments and or suggestions relating to improving the accessibility of our site, please don't hesitate to contact us by email: littleoakssj@btinternet.com or phone: 07710 721126. Your feedback will help us make improvements.

Our Progress so far:

  • So far we have changed the design of the website to improve the contrast between background and text and this step has now been completed.

  • We have added a search tool to the website to aid navigation.

  • We have moved content to enable that the website displays clearly in zoom up to 200%

  • We have tried to amend all our links to make it clear where the link will send you, describe the photos on our links and also ensure link text does not solely rely on a colour difference to adjacent text.

  • We have increased our use of symbols and icons so we do not just relying on text or colour for navigation and description.

  • We are working through revising and improving all photo descriptions to be more specific and less generic. This is to ensure it conforms with alternative text.

Work to be completed:

As I am sure you can appreciate the nature of our business means that we are a very image heavy site and we know that we have not yet completed our process of improving the alternative text in our photos.

We have links to social media accounts and we know that we need to ensure that this auto-updating feature on the website has alternative text improved rather than just a basic image description. This we will be working to implement with our social media lead.

This website is continuing to undergo change to increase accessibility.
